Age-Worn Ridgewood Library Finds Angel in Local Financier

Summary


RIDGEWOOD Philanthropist and financier David F. Bolger has offered to pay for the renovation of the George L. Pease Memorial Library, a 1920s-era building that for years has stood in disrepair in the center of Garber Square.

"I want to see it finished, see it done," Bolger, 75, of Ridgewood, said this week after making an offer of not less than $700,000 to refurbish the building. "Over many years there had been no action on the part of the town. A lot of talk, no action."
