ELMWOOD PARK -- An 82-year-old Paterson woman was hospitalized after her car struck a utility pole and overturned on Route 4 east on Wednesday, forcing authorities to close the highway in both directions just east of the Passaic River, police said.
The cause of the 12:37 p.m. accident was not immediately determined, but Chief Don Ingrasselino of the Elmwood Park police said the driver, Maggie Porcha, may have lost consciousness due to an unspecified preexisting medical condition.See the full content of this document
