EAST RUTHERFORD Barry Cofield was playing in just his second NFL game, but even he thought it was a little peculiar. The Giants' rookie nose tackle saw three monsters in the middle of the Eagles' offensive line, yet he knew the Philadelphia offense was geared around the passing of Donovan McNabb.

"I was kind of surprised the way they played," Cofield said Thursday as the Giants prepared to meet the Eagles for the third time this season. "I think they have the biggest offensive line in the league, man for man. You could definitely see they had the offensive line, the makeup of a team that could pound it. They just hadn't done it."
