Q. I took Mickey to the veterinarian for his shots and the veterinarian said because he has an extra toe, I should get him declawed when I bring him in to be neutered. My niece, who has always had cats and who I look to for information about Mickey, said that she did not think this was a good idea. However, my daughter- in-law said I should get him declawed. I also think my veterinarian knows what is best for my cat. Please give me your position on declawing.
