WAYNE - West Point cadet Adam Sasso sat facing a class of middle- schoolers Friday afternoon, urging them to imagine themselves as the butt of jokes.

He asked them to consider how they might feel if someone called them a "dumb blonde" or made fun of the way they talk. "Think about how difficult it is for someone to come to this country trying to learn the language, and when they try to speak, they're made fun of," he said. "It would be pretty scary."
