WANAQUE The Borough Council plans to introduce an ordinance tonight designed to merge the planning and zoning boards.

The council also plans to introduce a pair of bond ordinances that would enable the borough to borrow more than $1 million to buy a new firetruck and improve the Haskell firehouse. The governing body is also scheduled to promote three police officers to captain, lieutenant and sergeant.
