The Tunnel to Towers Run is a 3.1-mile event that commemorates Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who, loaded with his firefighting gear, ran from Brooklyn through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to aid in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center.
