The reaction in one rural Haitian town to the country's recent presidential election has been muted, said Dr. David Butler, a gynecologist at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.

Butler, who is providing medical care at the Hopital Sacre Coeur in Milot, 90 miles from the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, said any uneasiness over the Caribbean country's political future appears centered on former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and whether he will try to interfere. Aristide arrived from exile last week, two days before the presidential vote.
