BERGENFIELD - A 31-year-old New York man was stabbed during what appeared to be a fight over a woman, authorities said Friday.

The victim, who was not identified, was visiting a female friend on Woods Avenue on Thursday evening when another man stopped by her house, said police Capt. Rick McGarrill. The two men began arguing, and it escalated into a bare-knuckle fight, he said.
