Mark MacCracken doesn't pole-vault anymore, but made it a point to attend some local track meets last year so he could see and talk to the young man who broke his longstanding BCSL American record.
MacCracken vaulted 14 feet, 7 1/2 inches for Tenafly in 1972, which set a state, Bergen County and league record. The county mark stood for 20 years, and the league record for 38 until Ridgefield Park's Juan Andres Giglio broke it in May 2010.See the full content of this document
