Vaulter Reaches New Heights in Business World

Summary


Mark MacCracken doesn't pole-vault anymore, but made it a point to attend some local track meets last year so he could see and talk to the young man who broke his longstanding BCSL American record.

MacCracken vaulted 14 feet, 7 1/2 inches for Tenafly in 1972, which set a state, Bergen County and league record. The county mark stood for 20 years, and the league record for 38 until Ridgefield Park's Juan Andres Giglio broke it in May 2010.
