PEQUANNOCK -- In a divided school district, both sides seem to agree on one crucial thing: new Superintendent William Trusheim might have what it takes to bring them together.

Trusheim, who served 14 years as Pequannock Valley Middle School principal, took over in the district's top post Monday. He succeeded Larrie Reynolds, an administrator credited with reversing years of academic decline and whose departure polarized the school community.
