The federal monitor charged with cleaning up corruption at the state's medical university has ordered its officials to turn over documents covering contracts, salaries, policies and procedures dating to 2001.
The monitor, former federal prosecutor and Judge Herbert J. Stern, outlined 13 items that President John Petillo and his staff at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey need to address. Stern asked for the information - and evidence that the school has returned $4.9 million it overbilled Medicare and Medicaid - by Feb. 10.See the full content of this document
