Bomb-sniffing dogs and plainclothes police officers mingled with travelers at the region's busiest train stations Friday as authorities stepped up security in the aftermath of the terrorist rail bombings in Madrid.
"In light of the bombing in Madrid, I feel it is prudent to take measures to assure the safety of New Jersey's citizens and their transportation systems," said State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes, who is also director of the State Office of Emergency Management.See the full content of this document
