The New Jersey Turnpike Authority approved a $465 million operating budget Monday that pays more for state police protection and accounts for job cuts, but calls for no toll hikes.
The 2007 budget increases spending by 2 percent over last year. The authority anticipates receiving more than $800 million in toll revenue. After operating expenses, the balance of the revenue pays debt and goes toward special projects and maintenance.See the full content of this document
