PEQUANNOCK The Township Council has settled on a plan to reduce high calcium and sodium levels in the drinking water.
The council recently hired an engineering firm to design a water tower and a blending facility to mix the township's well water with water from Newark's system. High calcium levels create a buildup of deposits in plumbing and appliances, and the sodium levels can be a health concern for people with high blood pressure, said Township Administrator Kevin Boyle.See the full content of this document
