DUMONT -- Walking on crutches, Tenafly senior captain Paul Hamersma couldn't do anything but watch his final Thanksgiving showdown between Tenafly and Dumont from the sideline. Lucky for Hamersma he had a friend in the game who put together one of the best performances in his life in Hamersma's honor.
Junior running back Billy Tesher ran for 214 yards and one touchdown to lead Tenafly to a 14-6 victory over Dumont in the 62nd consecutive Thanksgiving meeting between the two schools.
