I'd like to share my fondest Valentine's Day memory -- it was actually on February 19, 2005, since I was attending school on the 14th. Larry (my then-boyfriend, now-husband) and I were staying at the Sheraton Crossroads and Larry said he made me something. I assumed the present and the getaway were a late Valentine's gift. He presented me with this beautiful scrapbook full of our memories -- pictures, love letters, poems. We went through the pages, recalling the pictures and events, and the last page said "Melissa Michele Alexander, will you marry me?" Well, I didn't even get past "Will you" when I looked at Larry. He was holding a breath-taking ring, and I started crying hysterically and wrapped my arms around him, and he was crying too. It was fantastic -- an absolute shock!
