NORWOOD A 16-year-old girl who dropped her cellphone while crossing a busy borough intersection was struck by a car Thursday as she stooped to retrieve the phone, police said.

The borough girl, who was not identified, was conscious and alert as she was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
