TEANECK - The Clifton football team hung with Teaneck through a high-octane NNJIL game Thursday night, but a critical holding call and an ensuing miscue by the Mustangs turned the tide for good.

With Clifton down by a touchdown and driving early in the third quarter, the Mustangs tried a fake punt on a 4th-and-1 from their 45- yard line. Josh Texidor ran the ball well into Teaneck territory, apparently giving the Mustangs a much-needed first down. But the Mustangs were flagged for holding on the play.
