BOUND BROOK - Already facing conspiracy, misconduct and other charges, the borough's suspended police chief was accused Tuesday of allowing a group of drug suspects to go free after he accompanied officers to their apartment to evict them.

Despite walking in on drug use in plain view, then-Chief Kenneth Henderson ordered his officers to let the undetermined number of occupants go without checking to see whether they were wanted by law enforcement, Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest said.
