TOTOWA A car thief swapped one stolen vehicle for another a Passaic County Sheriff's Department SUV after its driver left the Ford Expedition with its engine running, authorities said.
At 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Cappy Morelli, director of the sheriff's workshop, stopped at the Wachovia Bank on Union Avenue, got out of the unmarked 2004 Expedition, and walked to an ATM, leaving the vehicle running, Sheriff's Department spokesman Bill Maer said.See the full content of this document
