PATERSON Marilee Jackson, who was suspended in 2004 as Paterson Community Development director because of irregular financial dealings, has struck a deal with Passaic County authorities to avoid facing criminal charges.

Jackson reportedly lived rent-free in an apartment owned by Nick Tselepis, a Clifton-based real estate agent, while she doled out $315,140 in federal housing construction subsidies to his company. She was suspended from her job and barred from managing housing money for a year.
