EAST RUTHERFORD Steve Spagnuolo and Jim Johnson are good friends. Their wives are very good friends. Yet for three-plus hours Sunday night, and another three-plus hours in December, friendships will be put on hold.

The Giants' first-year defensive coordinator used to coach linebackers for Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles' veteran defensive coordinator. However they will be on opposite sidelines Sunday night when the Eagles visit Giants Stadium.
