Alex Rodriguez's quick thinking saved a young boy from possible injury in front of the Yankees' hotel on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Boston Herald.

Eight-year-old Patrick McCarthy was about to cross Newbury Street, unaware that a car was careening around the corner. Rodriguez, who happened to be standing in front of the Ritz- Carlton, saw the potential for disaster and threw his arms around the boy just in time, pulling the two of them back together.
