EAST RUTHERFORD - Swarms of varsity jackets moved through Giants Stadium's parking lot early Friday evening, the winter chill in the air not the only reason all these high school kids had their collars popped high and straight.

Underneath each leather collar was an embroidered word, "Crusaders" for the Bergen Catholic jackets; "Ironmen" for the fans from Don Bosco Prep. These were teenagers wearing their school pride on their backs, standing in the cold, shouting themselves hoarse hours before their respective football teams kicked off their Non- Public Group 4 state football championship game.
