RIDGEWOOD Three candidates competed Tuesday for a pair of seats in a heated Village Council race that pitted two incumbents against a challenger.

Capturing four-year terms in the non-partisan election were incumbents David T. Pfund and Patrick A. Mancuso with 827 and 718 votes, respectively. John L. Papietro trailed with 587 votes.
