EAST RUTHERFORD - Resident Carol Coronato was against the U.S. war in Iraq, but she still wanted to salute the home team with a memorial in town.

"I just feel that these boys need to know that people at home care about them. I don't want what happened to the Vietnam veterans to happen to them," said Coronato. "My brother, Tommy, was a Vietnam veteran. I saw what happened when the vets came home. People blamed them for the war, but it wasn't their fault."
