ALBANY, N.Y. A federal judge has rejected claims that evidence against two Muslims arrested in an FBI anti-terrorism sting was tainted by use of illegal warrantless wiretaps.

U.S. District Judge Thomas McAvoy denied requests to dismiss the charges, suppress evidence on the grounds it was acquired from warrantless wiretaps or to force authorities to disclose to defense lawyers whether such wiretaps were used in the Albany case. The ruling leaves secret his reasons.
