Arriving at Giants Stadium in his black Escalade for a match, Juan Pablo Angel always can be spotted with the same loving company. His wife, Paula, and two kids, Geronimo and Tommy, drop him off at the tunnel leading down to the field. They also wait for him there after the game. On practice days, Angel is home in time to pick up his children from school.
These are happy times for Angel, a devout family man with enough troubled experiences to appreciate such stability. His two seasons with the Red Bulls have provided a safe environment for his family and, perhaps, a reason to stay when his contract expires at the end of the year. He also has enough free time "to keep up with everything my kids are doing," he said. The Angels have settled comfortably into their Saddle River home and -- not coincidentally - - the Colombian striker is playing some of his best soccer at age 33.See the full content of this document
