Governor Christie has repeatedly criticized President Obama for excessive federal spending, but Christie's latest budget sides with Obama and Democrats when it comes to deep spending cuts that House Republicans approved last month.

The House voted Feb. 19 to cut $61 billion for the remainder of this fiscal year, including more than $240 million from a range of federal programs that flow through the state to local cities and school districts or are administered by state workers in Trenton on federally funded budget lines.
