The U.S. Attorney's Office in lower Manhattan said late Tuesday it made a mistake by sending victims of an alleged Ponzi scheme run by James Nicholson an e-mail indicating the former Saddle River man would plead guilty at a court hearing Thursday.

More than 370 people apparently lost millions of dollars in Nicholson's hedge fund Westgate Capital Management LLC, and many have been eagerly awaiting the resolution of the case to find out how much, if any, of their investments they may recoup.
