EDGEWATER -- The borough's public library is now officially historic. The 1917 building, one of the libraries whose construction was funded by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, was recommended by a state panel this week for inclusion on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places.

Library Director Linda Corona said she and the staff and trustees were thrilled.
