Peruvian Day Parade Bypasses Paterson

Summary


An estimated 10,000 people turned out Sunday for the annual Peruvian Day Parade, which for the first time in 25 years didn't pass through Paterson.

Floats and traditional Peruvian dancers stuck to streets in Clifton and Passaic because organizers said they couldn't afford a new fee that Paterson wanted to charge them and other ethnic parade groups.
