The flag that three firefighters famously raised above the rubble of the World Trade Center is missing - and the owners are considering a half-million-dollar lawsuit against New York City, which they say hasn't done enough to find it.

"While the flag was in the custody of the City of New York, the flag was lost," the owners of the Star of America yacht say in a claim filed with the city comptroller's office. "Due to the loss of the historic flag, the claimant has been damaged in the amount of approximately $525,000, plus costs and other damages."
