Wayne Hills senior Jenny Ortiz has been through a lot. Back surgery cut short her freshman year, and after she qualified for the State championships in one event her sophomore year, her promising junior season was hindered by a knee injury that required surgery.

But now, sound of body, the gymnast has been a big part of Wayne Hills' (6-4) success, and the senior figures to be a challenger at the Passaic County championships.
