Officials: Report On Ford Cleanup Missing Answers

Summary


A report critical of federal actions in a toxic waste cleanup in Upper Ringwood did not answer many of the questions posed by legislators on behalf of local residents, some officials said Friday.

The thrust of last year's request to the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Inspector General was "how and why" did tons of toxic paint sludge escape the notice of EPA staff overseeing a cleanup by Ford Motor Co. that was declared completed in 1994.
