Pat Misch got the start Sunday afternoon, his first start since August 30. While it presented a chance to stop the Phillies' celebration, it also gave Misch the chance for his own party.
Misch entered the game 0-4 this season and 3-15 overall in his career. He was handed a 5-0 lead Sunday, but couldn't last the five innings to earn the victory. He served up a three-run homer to Chase Utley in the fifth inning. When Ryan Howard doubled to right field next, Jerry Manuel had seen enough.
