Newly Hired School Chief Won't Take Ridgefield Post

RIDGEFIELD -- Robert Fazio, picked just two weeks ago to lead the borough school district, backed out of his $210,000 a year contract Wednesday citing undisclosed personal reasons.

This is the second time in two years that Fazio, the principal of Emerson High School in Union City, has been selected for a superintendent job in a Bergen County district but did not take the post. He could not be reached for comment.
