NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN (2009, Fox, PG, $30) -- For the sequel to the surprise hit about a museum security guard (Ben Stiller) mingling with exhibits who spring to life, director Shawn Levy focuses on the performances of his ridiculously talented cast. Just as the story starts to sag -- this time around, exhibits from the Museum of National History clash with their Smithsonian counterparts -- there's another welcome turn by Ricky Gervais, Hank Azaria, Robin Williams, Bill Hader, Steve Coogan, Owen Wilson, a pair of slap-happy monkeys and a collection of Albert Einstein bobble-head dolls. Best of all is Amy Adams, whose buoyant turn as Amelia Earhart is a marvel of screwball timing. Extras: five deleted scenes, gag reel, featurette, two commentaries and a handful of shorts and games devoted to those mischievous monkeys.
