N.J. To Pay Farmers Who Curb Pollution

TRENTON - State farmers are now eligible for financial incentives if they install buffers along streams to shield them from pollution from storm runoff.

Governor McGreevey signed an agreement with U.S. Department of Agriculture on Tuesday to create the 10-year program. It is funded with $77 million in federal money and $23 million from New Jersey.
