RIDGEFIELD A wig-wearing fugitive on the run from California authorities for 12 years was back behind bars Tuesday after federal agents arrested him in the parking lot of his milk delivery business on Hudson Avenue, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Alberto Gonzalez, 62, who had been living in North Bergen, was being held in the Essex County Jail, pending extradition to Pasadena, Calif., where he is wanted on mail fraud and wire fraud charges, said Mi- chael Schroeder, a spokesman for the Marshals Service in Newark.
