HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Ray Mickens, the Jets' tough 5-foot-8 cornerback, has never missed an opening game and only two games overall in his eight seasons with the team.

But just days before the Jets' opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, they have found out they may not have Mickens for the entire season. Newsday reported that Mickens is likely out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
