Summary


Many dramatic photos told us of Hurricane Katrina's terror. Few told us to laugh - except, perhaps, one: a sign put up by New Orleans antique dealer Bob Roe during the worst flooding and looting.

"Don't try," Roe told looters, in a hand-painted sign on plywood nailed to the windows of his antique store on St. Charles Avenue. "I am sleeping inside with a big dog, an ugly woman, two shotguns and a claw hammer."
