You'll find all the traditional Mediterranean staples at Arek Mediterranean Groceries in River Edge, such as olive oil (many varieties), olives (serve yourself), pitas (from Fattal's Bakery in Paterson) and baklava (freshly made, behind the counter). But this tiny shop also is a great source for some of the best preserved fruit from the region, which is known for its bountiful farms and orchards.
