LIVINGSTON On a St. Mary's baseball team loaded with young talent, the lone starting senior made Monday's biggest play.

With Newark Academy threatening to tie in the sixth inning, catcher Zak Rose made a diving catch on a suicide squeeze bunt, then fired to third base for the inning-ending double play. The senior's hustle and determination helped St. Mary's secure a dramatic 4-3 victory over Newark Academy in the semifinals of the North Non- Public B tournament.
