FORT LEE -- Edith Kantrowitz was 12 years old when the Nazi storm troopers came to her father's Berlin clothing store, exactly 70 years ago Sunday.

"In the evening, all of a sudden we heard crashing and screaming," the 82-year-old said Sunday of her family, which lived above the store. "We looked down and saw them -- they were destroying my father's business. My father wanted to go downstairs, but my mother said no. She was afraid they would kill him."
