Manny Selling Boston Condo

Summary

Manny Ramirez, who has told the Red Sox he has no intention of playing for them in 2006, moved closer to an exodus this week when he put his 4,421-square-foot condo up for sale. According to the Boston Globe, Ramirez is asking $6.9 million for the four-bedroom, six-bath condo on the 37th floor of the Ritz Towers.

The Sox are apparently taking Ramirez seriously, having opened a dialogue with the Mets that will intensity at the winter meetings in Dallas next week. The Mets and Angels have been the only two teams willing to assume Ramirez's $19 million annual salary, although Anaheim is about to drop out of the running as a deal for free agent Paul Konerko is in its final stages.
