WOOD-RIDGE -- Police have tracked a suspect in the theft of about $70,000 in merchandise on Blum Boulevard to a Union County jail cell, where he had been since an arrest on another charge.

Authorities charged Hector F. Ocampo-Lopez, 26, of Elizabeth with breaking into a Boar's Head Provisions truck parked in a public storage facility last week and carting off approximately $35,000 in lunch meat, Chief Joseph T. Rutigliano said.
