EAST RUTHERFORD LaVar Arrington's BMW 760 died on him at Dulles International Airport on Monday, just as he and teammate-again Antonio Pierce were preparing to drive to his new football home in the Meadowlands. So the pair made the four-hour trek from Virginia in Pierce's vehicle.

"Maybe it's an omen," the newest Giant said Tuesday, his first full day of work at Giants Stadium. "Maybe whatever I had there I had to leave there."
