A prominent statewide Latino civil rights group praised the state attorney general's warning to law enforcement officials not to use a federal immigration program to engage in racial profiling.
The group, the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey, or LLANJ, said it expects Attorney General Anne Milgram's warning "to limit [the] detrimental impact" of the program, under which local law enforcement agencies whose officers undergo training by immigration officials may then enforce immigration laws.See the full content of this document
